Unique Garden Decor
I have a passion for coming up with my own unique garden decor. As I hit the garage sales and rummage sales, I often look around to see what would look great hanging on my fence, placed as part of a decorative grouping, or just sticking in the ground somewhere in my garden.
One of my favorite pieces is an old, weathered worktable I received as a gift. I use that table to display some other unique pieces I have including an antique sprinkler, an old wine crate, as well as some assorted terra cotta pots. Click this link to see some pics of

The key in choosing the pieces that are right for you is to think about some of your own characteristics. Are you fun-loving? An intellectual? A poet? A pragmatist? Your own characteristics will often have a direct effect on the decorative items you choose.
I personally enjoy things that reflect either an old-world feel, or weathered items reminiscent of early mid-western life… like my old copper plated rooster weathervane which keeps watch on a post above my herb garden.
Whatever it is for you, I’m sure you’ll enjoy this particular facet of gardening almost as much (if not more) than actual gardening. And at the end of the day, you’ve got a beautiful extension of your home – a place where you can slow down, relax, and enjoy a nice glass of lemonade while you take in the beauty and fragrance of YOUR garden.
